Digital Wireless Rain Gauge
Have you ever watched it rain, and rain, and rain and wonder just how many inches fell? Some people estimate how much rain fell in the same way they estimate how large the fish was that got away, they estimate just a little bigger that it really was. Whether you would just like to know so that you can keep track, or keep the rain stories small, or if you live in a flood plain and need to keep track for safety purposes, it has just become a lot easier to measure rainfall.
The new Digital Wireless Rain Gauge will allow you to keep track of up to 99.9 inches of rain, and then you just empty the rain collector and you are ready to begin again. It is really easy; you put the rain collector outside where it will be directly in the path of the rainfall. You can put the wireless digital LCD monitor indoors up to 100 feet away from the collector. There are three modes of display, no rain, light rain or heavy rain and the display is always lit, so that you can see it with no extra effort.
This is a very useful, informative tool, which can be allow you to do such things as check the estimated rainfall listed by the almanac, is it really accurate? You will be in a position to know. You can also keep the weatherman honest. Perhaps the area you live in has a radio or television program that encourages participation. You can call in and report how many inches of rain your particular area got.
This would also be a great gift if you know someone who likes to be on the inside track for information. Someone who likes to know and relate how hot it was, how cold it was, how much snow fell, the kind of knowledge which makes for great conversation.
